Little Rock, Arkansas – Neal Gladner, a veteran Arkansas broadcaster, has been appointed as the new executive director of the Arkansas Broadcasters Association (ABA). The announcement follows a comprehensive nationwide search for the organization’s next leader.
Greg Horne, ABA Board President, expressed enthusiasm about Gladner’s appointment, citing his extensive experience and strong reputation in Arkansas as a manager, trainer, and on-air talent. Gladner’s connection with ABA is longstanding, having previously served as a board president.
Gladner transitions to this role from his recent position as Director of Sales and Marketing for the US Stations group in Hot Springs. His career in broadcasting is distinguished, including leadership roles at KARN and The Arkansas Radio Network, Citadel Broadcasting in Little Rock, and Crain Media Group. Additionally, Gladner is known for his time as a morning News-Talk host on KARN.
Reflecting on his appointment, Gladner shared his excitement and emphasized the vital role of television and radio stations in providing entertainment, information, and essential updates to the people of Arkansas.
His leadership extends beyond broadcasting, with notable positions in various industry and civic organizations. Gladner has served as President of the National Association of State Radio Networks, held board positions in the Radio Advertising Bureau and the National Association of Farm Broadcasters, and was President of the CBS Radio Affiliates Association. His civic involvement includes roles with the Greater Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce, Hot Springs National Park Rotary Club, and the Hot Springs Documentary Film Institute.
Gladner resides in Hot Springs with his wife, Rose, and has two adult daughters. His appointment marks a new chapter for ABA, as it continues to serve and represent broadcasters across Arkansas.
